Navigating Trauma

Rev Victoria Lawrence is a highly sought after speaker, mentor and servant leader, she is a passionate advocate for inclusion particularly for women and families raising children with special needs also known as ‘Neurodivergent’. RVL as she’s fondly called is a leader to leaders and has pioneered a mentoring programme that has helped many women with a call to ministry and established their organisations here in UK and abroad.

She is a missionary at heart and her ministry gift has led her missions in various part of Africa such as Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Zambia, Uganda, Ghana and Nigeria where thousands of people has been transformed by the power of God’s word and her ministry gifts! .

She is the founder of The Father’s Joy Ministries, a ministry dedicated to empowering women to lead and occupy their space with confidence in all spheres of society. An arm of TFJ also focuses on family raising children with additional needs and equipping the church to make room for all God’s creation.

Her work and passion for advocacy for SEND families and marginalised members of the society especially women has earned her many awards such as Wise Woman Award, Inspirational woman of the year, Pineapple Award, Mentor & Leader of year award, Woman for African award and many more to name a few. This work has enabled her to take part in parliamentary discussions, invite to No10 Downing Street, a BBC Song of praise documentary and has pioneered various initiatives.

Victoria’s first degree is in mass communication, followed by BSc in Business information systems, MA in Housing practice, level 4 in therapeutic counselling, Advanced diploma in theology, CMI level 7 in Strategic approaches to equality, diversity and inclusion. She’s a certified Cultural intelligence trainer and trauma informed care practitioner.

She is an author and Co-Facilitator for REGAIN, a self rediscovery program for women who have experienced losses, disappointments or feels stuck in life! This course has helped over 300 women since its launch in 2021 to rediscover themselves and forge ahead after abusive relationships and losses.

She is the first woman to host a dinner4dads event for dads, a dinner event where fathers are celebrated, honoured and receive ‘outstanding dad’ award for their excellent contribution in their home and society. This is to change the narrative and highlight the role and importance of fathers in their own and encouraging them to STEP UP, and STEP-IN for the community needs them.

She runs Neurodivergence training for churches with her team! She’s also a trained Trauma Informed Facilitator and Trains the trainers too using biblical approaches to address traumas! A Cultural Intelligence consultant and council member of Churches in Communities. A member of the Board of Trustees at London Institute of contemporary Christianity and provides Equality, Diversity and Inclusion consultancies for other Christian organisation and churches.

Victoria is a versatile woman with an unquestionable love for God and people, she possesses a gift of encouragement that makes a great impact on the people she comes in contact with. She lives in Kent and blessed with three adults children.
